Crisis Intervention

I have conducted many crisis interventions in community businesses and organizations. Sizes of groups have ranged from four to forty people. Reasons for being invited in to meet with employees have been to deal with the death of an employee (anticipated or sudden), a violent crime committed in the workplace, or any workplace conflict or incident that was upsetting to employees. I believe that these types of interventions can be helpful to validate the emotions being experienced by employees and to provide resources to cope with the coming days and weeks.

Group Facilitation

Facilitating psycho-educational support groups is also an important part of the work I provide to the community. Groups facilitated in the past have included:

  • Traumatic Loss
  • Breast Cancer Support
  • Reclaiming Your Life After Cancer Treatment
  • Survivors of Suicide
  • The Journey of Grief
  • Building Your Private Practice (for therapists)
